Martin is an experienced TV Director and has credits with all the major UK broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, C4 and Sky.
He has a passion for directing TV in all sorts of genres.
Martin began working in TV in 1997 when he started as a camera assistant at BBC Television centre. Since then he has gone on to work on Doctor Who and Versailles (as a Mentee Director), and Directed Doctors (BBC), Hollyoaks (C4), Emmerdale (ITV), Spooks Code 9, and Spooks Interactive, which won a BAFTA and was nominated for an EMMY.
Martin directed A Night of a Thousand Vampires for Punk rock Legends The Damned live at the palladium multi camera shoot. It went to number 1 in the UK music Film charts knocking Peter Jackson’s Beatles Doco ‘Get Back‘ off the top spot. Nothing personal, Peter. Love your work.
Martin directed the feature length live music film This Happened starring Claudia Brucken, as well as several BBC Pilots and many shows as a camera operator/assistant, including East Enders, Robot Wars & Big Brother.
Martin has worked in Live TV at Reading Festival 1998-2003, as well as Wimbledon, live music events, and motor racing.
